This December, on the grounds of Hillview Farmstay, the Fraternity of St Peter (FSSP) will be running a spiritually reflective Father (Guardian) and Sons’ Camp! It promises to be a very enjoyable weekend away for school aged boys who have made their First Holy Communion, accompanied by their father / guardian.

Topic: True Friendship with God

Raising a family may be one of the hardest but also one of the most rewarding things. With so many negative influences in the world today, focusing on family has never been more important.

 

The topic for this camp / retreat is on how to deepen our friendship with God in order to enhance the relationship between the Father and the Son.

 

No longer do I call you servants,[a] for the servant[b] does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. (John 15:15)

Details

When:

9th -11th December 2022 (Friday 7:00pm to Sunday, ~1pm).

 

Where: Hillview Farmstay, Hume Highway, Mt Adrah, NSW.

  • Meet at Hillview Farmstay, for a light dinner 7pm on Fri. 9/12/22;
  • Depart from Hillview Farmstay at approx. 1pm on Sun. 11/12/22.
  • Hillview Farmstay is located in a peaceful and picturesque area, 3 hour 45 minutes from Sydney, or 2 hours 20 minutes from
  • Accommodation is dormitory style with 3 daily meals
  • Attendees will assist in keeping the facility clean.

Meals: Fully catered (Saturday – Sunday). Please indicate any special dietary requirements or allergies on the relevant section of the registration form.

Friday night light refreshment will be provided upon arrival. Sunday brunch will be provided before departure.

 

Cost: Father and Son ($450); extra child ($150)

What to bring: towel, appropriate clothing, hat & water bottle, toiletries (including sunscreen & insect repellent), personal needs, writing book & pen, torch, rosary beads.

Mass readings and all the prayers we use for this retreat will be included in a booklet which will be given upon arrival.

 

Ages: Primary and High School children (past First Holy Communion) – approx. 8 to <18yrs.

 

What NOT to bring: Electronic devices (as much as possible); personal snack (unless to be shared); alcohol.

This is a technology-free camp.

 

This Camp’s Director and Chaplain is Rev. Thomas Sofatzis, FSSP, assisted by Rev. Paul Leung. Both Fathers will take turn to offer Holy Mass, provide spiritual talks and be available for confessions and Spiritual Direction throughout.
